About Taylor Made Escapes

Michael manages the day-to-day running of Taylor Made Escapes. He is a fully qualified Coxswain Grade 1 NC. He grew up sailing and racing in Sydney, with experience sailing Sabots, Flying 11s, Lasers and 12’ Skiffs.

More recently, Michael has had extensive experience sailing and racing on Pittwater. He has competed in sailing races such as the Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Race, Airlie Beach Race Week and Hamilton Island Race Week.

Lynda is Taylor Made Escape’s Business Support, Customer Service and Marketing Manager. She has a wide range of customer service and sales experience. Lynda loves nothing more than enjoying a relaxing glass of bubbly while sailing on the magnificent Pittwater. 

Michael and Lynda believe that family, friends and quality shared experiences are priceless, and are committed to making you feel rejuvenated, relaxed and refreshed when you step back ashore.

Karri is our youngest team member, she has a love of all things sailing and currently manages our operational tasks on a day-to-day basis. Karri is the smiling face that greets our guests and takes them to the yachts.

A keen outdoors girl, Karri commenced with us as a Trainee and has recently obtained her Coxswain’s Grade 1 NC. Living on the coast she is an active member of Bilgola Surf Life Saving Club.

This year Karri is studying to obtain a Diploma in Event Management.

Peter has spent a lifetime collecting knowledge of all things maritime. A wooden boat devotee, he owns two timber vessels: a Tasmanian cray boat and a 110-year-old sailing yacht. Peter has qualifications as Marine Master IV, Marine Engine Driver 2, Rigger, Dog Man, and Fork Lift Driver.

He currently teaches at Sea School International, Newport, is on the Board of Sydney Heritage Fleet and has been the Master of James Craig for 20 years. He is also a very handy Navigator in a submarine! Peter’s life philosophy is stay afloat, move ahead, do good things with good people.

Jane is a keen sailor, competing regularly as yacht crew from RMYC Broken Bay in both inshore and offshore races. A lifetime sailor and boat owner, Jane has owned numerous dinghies, 12’ skiffs, and a timber yacht. She is an active member of Lane Cove 12-foot Sailing Skiff Club.

Jane is a fully qualified Coxswain Grade 1 NC Certificate of Competency and has held her Response Boat Crew accreditation for some years.

Growing up in and on the water, Jack is a fully qualified Coxswain Grade 1 NC. He learned to sail on Sydney harbour, racing dinghies and skiffs, and has competed at a national level in the Laser and Cherub class.

Jack decided to branch out his skills and dive into yachts and tall ships. He crewed aboard the James Craig on its 2019 voyage from Sydney to Hobart and back for the Wooden Boat Festival.
